Top 5 Clasps

Top 5 Clasps for Jewelry:

Clasps are a very important part of a piece of jewelry. The clasp is what holds everything together, if you don't have a good quality clasp, you could lose your piece of jewelry. Also, they can come in many shapes, sizes, colors, and designs, and they can add some character to your jewelry as well.

1) Lobster Claw - is very sturdy and secure. May be a little difficult to do by yourself, depending on the size. Best clasp to use on heavy pieces.
2) Spring Ring - is pretty sturdy and secure as well. May also be a little difficult to do by yourself , something that helps is to make sure you have a big enough o- ring to hook it into. Very commonly used.
3) Toggle - is not as secure as the lobster and spring ring, but as long as the bracelet fits you, it will be fine. Shouldn't be used on the heavier pieces unless it is a good size toggle to fit the piece. Usually one of the more decorative clasps and an easy do it yourself clasp.

4) Magnetic - is the best do it yourself clasp. Always needs to be high quality, not suggested on heavy pieces. A great version of this clasp is the fold over magnetic clasp, which is more secure yet still very easy to do it yourself.
5) Barrel - is pretty secure. They are fairly easy to do yourself, and yet provide a greater security than some other clasps.
-All 5 of these clasps are great clasps, just make sure you are always getting a good quality, the clasp is what holds together that gorgeous piece that you would never want to lose!
